RunKeeper App Review

It’s a game, augmented reality that’s actually useful. You run, making the real world your game board, and it maps were you go, along with providing other stats.

Smartphones. They’re expensive, but completely worth their value if used to their full potential. This is just one great way I’ve utilised my own.

I began using the RunKeeper App in November having previously toyed with the more established iMapMyRun. Immediately it struck me for it’s accuracy, stunning presentation and interactivity, that’s just unmatched.

For me it’s a real motivator, especially in the run up to my half marathon, and I very much enjoy being able to logon to their website and admire my achievements.

Finish your run and it will update your Twitter or Facebook status so you can even impress your friends along the way.

The paid App for iPhone costs £6.99, but when you compare it to less functional alternatives such as Nike+ that cost considerably more, it’s a bargain. Even then there’s a free version too which doesn’t miss out on major features at all.
